Change is Never Easy
When I started Wanderer, I was moving from San Francisco to Taos to create the life I had been dreaming about for some time. I wanted to own my own business that was a reflection of myself, and to do something I really enjoyed. And I did that, but it came with its own hardships.
Opening brick and mortar locations in Taos, Albuquerque, Fort Worth, doing several pop ups in Texas, California, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arkansas, and maintaining an online store and social media presence has been a RIDE. You take the stress because you love what you’re doing, but eventually when it wears you down, you need to make a decision.
That’s why I have decided to give up running a physical store. Trying to keep up with overhead and struggling to pay myself for three years has taken its toll, if I am going to be honest. And that’s exactly what this all is - me being honest with myself. However, this is in no way an end, it’s another new beginning!
I’ve worked hard on the website to create a bigger shopping experience for everyone. There will be more shop updates with fresh styles much more frequently, and I’m working on bringing you quick & quality Instagram/Facebook Live viewings. Stay tuned for more updates as we make this transition - there are some ideas in the works to keep a small presence here in Fort Worth via pop ups and some local shopping events. And yes, there will be a major SALE before we shut these doors!
Thank you for wandering along with us on this journey, and staying with us through the changes. Our name IS Wanderer, after all.
